This plan consists of three phases: exterior, interior, and a new addition with ADA-compliant restrooms and a catering kitchen.<\/p><h3 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Community Foundation of Perry County<\/h3><p>The Community Foundation awarded a grant for the replacement of a critically needed damaged beam and the restoration of our main entryway.<\/p><h3 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Indiana Historical Society Heritage Support Project Grant<\/h3><ol><li>A $50,000 Heritage Support Grant from the Indiana Historical Society specifically targeted the replacement of the roof and chimneys. This grant was made possible by Lilly Endowment, Inc.The roof replacement is part of a larger project that includes new gutters, new downspouts, and cupola and masonry work. The total cost of this larger project is in excess of $100,000. Together with individual donors, Friends of the 1818 Rome Courthouse, Inc., is providing the additional funds. The roofing contract was awarded to Helming Brothers, Inc., of Jasper, and construction began in March 2022.<\/li><\/ol><ol start=\"2\"><li>An IHS Heritage Support mini-grant for website development, provided by the Indiana Historical Society and made possible by Lilly Endowment, Inc.<\/li><\/ol><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><h3 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Southern Indiana Power<\/h3><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Two Operation Round Up grants were provided through Sirec Community Trust: One for new tables and another for a heating unit on the main level.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size ); font-style: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-style ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); letter-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-text-letter-spacing ); text-transform: var( --e-global-typography-text-text-transform ); word-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-text-word-spacing );\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h3 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Additional Contributors<\/h3><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Tell City Regional Arts Association<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Grant Match Donors<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Generous givers to Friends of the 1818 Rome Courthouse, Inc.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a807c0a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a807c0a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Individual contributors generously gave tens of thousands of dollars to jumpstart our renovations and make it possible to apply for grants. Many of these people are even making repeat donations to ensure our continued success.
